The Railway Inn is a rural village pub serving traditional bar food alongside some great homemade dishes in the separate dining room. The menu is extensive and runs alongside a fantastic selection of regularly changing blackboard specials (which use the best of what’s in season) to choose from.

The Railway Inn was a formally a mill house but was converted to a pub around 1860 when the Manchester to Chester railway line was built.

Tony, Lynda and daughter Laura run the pub. Tony’s great aunt was the licensee from 1937 until 1972. Tony, Lynda, Laura and Matthew moved into the Railway in May 1988 and have been running it for 20 years.

Ideal for Al Fresco dining with a large garden and outdoor eating area.
