Knutsford duo arrive in Japan

Knutsford firefighter Steve Buckley and his search dog Bryn are part of a UK team which has arrived in Japan to help in the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami.
Steve and Bryn from are among a 63-strong International Search and Rescue Team which arrived in the stricken country on Sunday (March 13th). The Cheshire Fire and Rescue duo have joined firefighters from Kent, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Mid and West Wales and the West Midlands for the latest rescue mission.
The UK team flew out on Saturday night and landed at a military base in the north of Japan. They will team up with American rescue workers and have been tasked with supporting a search and rescue effort in the coastal town of Ofunato.
Thousands of people are still missing after the devastating tsunami which hit Japan’s coastline on Friday.
