The Cuckooland Museum, Tabley is home to the largest collection of antique cuckoo clocks, five fairground organs, 12 trumpeter clocks and tools - all from the Black Forest in Germany.

You can’t fail to be astonished by the variety, quality and ingenuity associated with the ancient craft of cuckoo clock making. The museum’s collection is regarded as the most important of its type in Britain, Europe and indeed, the rest of the world.

The collection has been brought together by brothers Roman and Maz Piekarski who, as foremost horologists and clock restorers, have sought and renovated the rarest and most notable examples over careers of thirty years.

Most of the clocks within the museum are rare and unique, and combine a number of ingenious methods of time telling. The museum also hosts a range of Cuckoo and Quail clocks, Trumpeter clocks and other associated musical movements, which will play at intervals throughout your visit, all of which are varying in age and history.
