Aaron moves from MK Dons to Norwich City

Aaron Wilbraham

A former Knutsford High School pupil in the latter stages of his football career has signed by Norwich City Football Club on an initial loan basis prior to completing an 18-month permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.

Aaron Wilbraham aged 31 has scored 57 goals in 204 appearances for Milton Keynes along with short term spells at Hull, Oldham and Bradford but spent the first five seasons of his career in the Championship with Stockport.

The Knutsford-born frontman was strongly linked with a January transfer window switch to League One rivals Peterborough and admitted the Canaries’ interest came totally out of the blue.

“Obviously at 31 years of age, to get a chance to play for a massive club like this in the Championship is good for me,” he said.

Further comments from Aaron and Canaries’ boss Paul Lambert  may be seen on the website of the Norfolk paper The Pink Un.
